Denis Bertholet’s birthday at Chaurikharka

Today, 13 November, it’s Denis Bertholet’s birthday

He went to Lukla to meet the School Committee and to review the reconstruction of the school complex of Chaurikharka in the company of an architect and an engineer. A surprise celebration was organised for him. And all the school children sang “Happy Birthday” and placed khatas around his neck as a gesture of gratitude: such emotion!
